Random thoughts straight from my note app….with a few typos to add some spice.
Parenting is like running a business. No matter how many times you've done it, it always feels like the first time. It's never easy.
If you're a parent, don't outsource your most important job—be a parent.
Parenting isn't about being perfect. It's about being present and making the best choices with what you have.
Don't raise your kids to live the life you dreamed of. Let them grow up to chase their own dreams.
Give your children the opportunity to suffer and experience pain so that they can develop the strength to achieve their goals independently. Failure is not the end; it's a stepping stone to success.
Avoid providing your children with any assistance they can acquire on their own.
Children don't always learn from what you teach them but from what they observe. Embody the values you want your child to embrace. Show them the importance of integrity, kindness, and pursuing their passions.
Teach them what school doesn't—personal finance, sales, building a business etc.
Being a parent means being a lifelong learner. Embrace the lessons your children teach you every day.
Parenting isn't about giving your kids everything you never had; it's about teaching them everything you never knew.
Instead of raising your kids to have more than you did, raise them to be more than you were.
Teach your children early what you learned late in life.
Parenting isn't about creating a flawless childhood. It's about preparing your kids for an imperfect world.
Being the parent your child needs, not the one they want.
Love them enough to let them grow.
Another great piece 👍
My son is going through intense therapy at the age of 33. I’m so blessed to listen to him reveal his pain and to share his sorrow and to admit my mistakes and to regret and most importantly to move on and rise above together. The eternal love we have for one another is my most powerful beautiful awesome gift of this life.
🙏
