5%
The 95/5 rule: Why being slightly better makes all the difference. The secret to success isn't being the best - it's being better than 95% of everyone else.
Being the 1% of anything is very hard. But to be the 5% is doable. Simply most people are too lazy or impatient to ever get there. Majority of the people you meet are doing a horrible job at whatever they are doing.
95% of marketing agencies don't even know what they are doing. My clients would tell us about their past experiences with other agencies, it doesn't even make sense half of the time. 95% of books are garbage, including books on bestselling lists. Most are written and tailored to be sold, not to be spreading enlightenment. Authors are writing books that they know would work well in the market because they have bills to pay and family to feed. You need to read what you should read, not just what's popular.
95% of relationships are just holding you back. They're unfulfilling at best, toxic at worst. You need to focus on the 5%, the relationships that challenge you, support you, and push you to be your best self.

95% of news is distraction or propaganda. Headlines are designed to grab attention rather than inform, and many outlets push specific agendas. You need to focus on learning from the past, observing the present and embracing the future instead of following news blindly.
95% of financial advice is generic or serves the advisor's interests more than yours. You need to educate yourself on personal finance basics and seek out advisors whose benefits would align with your specific goals and situation.
95% of marriages shouldn't happen in the first place. People often get into relationships as a method to avoid facing reality or due to societal pressure. You need to focus on being happy being single before getting into any relationship.
95% of education systems are outdated, focusing on rote memorization instead of critical thinking and practical skills. You can't outsource one of the most important task in life, self-education.
To be the 5%, you just need to do a bit more than the bare minimum. But to be the 1%, you need to pay the price the 99% wouldn't pay. It's not for everyone, but for those willing to put in the work, the rewards are immense. For most people, being the 5% is more than enough.
Mediocrity is the enemy of greatness. In everything you do, don't settle being the 95%. Focus on the 5% that will truly make a difference. It's easier than you think.
